Default Chopping off little rear muffler

Ello..

I've tried searching but to no avail. There was a post I read last year (that itself was posted a year or so before that) about having the little rear muffler replaced on a WJ/WG with a straight pipe and posted a video clip in the message of him accelerating. Half an hours work at $100 an hour so 50 bucks it cost him.

Tried to contact Midas in Perth but their email bounces back saying 'permanently undelivered' - I guess they've gone fully commercial from back in the day when all they did was mufflers and exhausts.

Can anyone recommend a place in Perth that would be happy to do such a simple - and thus fuck all profit - job in WA?

Cheers..

That might have been my post. I did it not long after getting the Jeep. 50 bucks and about half hour. Sounds better, goes better and better economy and put a vid on here of my rig on a dirt road.
Shop around mate, some exhaust shops are just mongrels and want to rip ya off for such a simple job.
It's loud but not annoying, I just drove 750k's on a highway and you can't here it at cruising speed.
Do it, you will love it!

I went through a few combos, took a while to make something up that didn't drone.

I can't stand drone, at all.

Mine's basically a short system, with just one straight through sports muffler.

I gave brendon from wanneroo mufflers a call and had a small muffler installed ($180). Sounds pretty sweet. I'll try get a vid up and send you the link. Also in the process of them fitting a stainless snorkel. Unfortunately their order was stuffed up and had 45 angles missing so couldn't complete it. Hopefully have that sorted thursday
