Hey jeepgirl, the Merc G wagen is a serious 4wder and it is reasonably comfortable too. Might wanna consider that and build quality is bulletproof. I have seen one but no luck driving it. Looks tough without the wank factor that the hummer has and probably just as capable too or maybe even better.

Love the G Wagon....there is a nice black one I see around - stock but still looks the business.

you should see the G Wagons being run by the Canadian army in afghanistan... those things are awesome. top heavy though, rolling issues. but they've been tricked up and have all kinds of gucciness pouring off them.
