Uhf handheld
Hey guys,
I'm after a handheld uhf that i can eventually tie in to an external aerial but know next to nothing about radios, i know im after 5 watts with a 4.5 db aerial and maybe a 7db for long flat range, i was thinking along the lines of the gme tx6500 or tx6150 i don't want it to let me down so im whilling to spend for some quality
Otherwise if anyone has a favorite radio shop around melbourne i'm all ears, jbhifi office works and the like wern't that helpful
would be nice to know what the log trucks are doing around the next narrow blind corner
cheers

I am very happy with my Chinese knock off ~ Baofeng UV-5R+ .I have 2. It also lets you know what the boys in blue are ding in country Vic around the next corner & what other emergency services are up to. Cheap as (under $50) It has the same specs as the best on the market. But then if you want bragging rights go with a known brand.
