Default Dual Battery's- Where- What- How do they Go??

Hey all, i have searched this but i thought id ask.

WJ owners what set up's do you run and what do you like or dislike about them.

I have the CRD as most of you know, the reason for the Q. is i am planning a camping trip up to North W.A early next year and i am just finishing off the mods to my car now so it is ready for the trip... I want everything done early so I can test it all, as i don't want to put a dual battery set up on 2 weeks before im 1500kms away from civilaisation

What i want to achive is- Run a 60L or bigger fridge, Run a light from the roof for camp site, Run the stereo in the car ( OE ) and have power to kick over the Barge in the morning.

Now the car's power situation is as follows, 2x 100W spotties, and everything else is standard. No brighter Headlights, no sub woffers or anything.

What you guys recommend?

Early Thanks for your feed back!

hemi.

Default 2nd battery

I recently got a new battery form Challage Batteries WA in Osborne Park (Wife kept leaving the lights on, even with the warning beep..... )

Anyway....

While I was there I asked about a second battery for my ZG and they showed me a kit which you fit in your boot. It has all the bits you need build in and can be removed when not being used.

Hope this helps in some way.

I would like something under the hood, I use that wheel space for storage and i find it really handy for that!

Plus running battery cables to boot ect can be a bit of a headache

Im thinking a set up like silver jk's could do the trick

Q. Jowner... Don't the lights on the ZJ's turn off after 8min???
Maybe it stared in the Wj's??

Default lights

With the ZG, they seem to stay on if you leave them on, but if you leave the lights on then turn the engine off and then turn the lights off, they stay on for while before turning themselves off...

Just need to change the beep to say "lights, lights, LIGHTS!!"

for the "www.redarc.com.au" system i used id recommend a gel type sealed battery or a optima (like i got). If there both the same size and you have a winch it can have a relay added to winch of both batterys as well all instructions are in the box for it. it as i have set up and override button inside the cab incase the main (or in my case the smaller battery) dies you can then bull both in to start the car etc. All up including fitting was about $300 ish the redarc was 140 including shipping direct from them.

Im not real keen on the idea of batterys inside the car but each to their own.
