Cheers

I'll be building to a price, as an example the external walls are based on a 2700mmx1200mm sheet of ply, cost for this is $42.50. I'm really trying to design it to use full sheets etc with little wastage. The extrnal sheeting, including walls, roof and hatch along with all the internal sheeting not including the cabinets is going to cost $336, I'm hoping to build the whole thing for under $2500. There are some expensive items I cant avoid, the hinge for the hatch is $96 for example. Still though under $2500 is going to be good if I can do it.

Cheers
Steve

Most teardrops range from $3700.00 up depending on the build. This is a conservative estimate based on the discussion on the Teardrop forum...

Yep, it'll be tight, I have wheels, tyres and springs already so that saves a few bucks, cabinets will be simple not many slides(draws)etc. I'm no longer going with the DVD player, will just have a pullout mount for the laptop but will fit speakers, the laptop will be used for music as well unless I pick up a cheap stereo with an AUX in on it, I dont plan to spend days in there just for sleeping really. The bit I'm having trouble with is the axle, I think brakes would be a good idea but I need to shop around for a decent setup at not too much cost. Anyway, if I go over the $2500 I'm not too worried, just trying to aim low

Cheers
Steve

don't forget to take into account the coupling, my treg was about the $350 mark mate, so there is another expense that can't be avoided, i am loving it, i wanna start to build on now
