My recollection is they had no idea whatsoever about a 'customer satisfaction notification' when this was a common issue circa 2017/18 - customers walking in with this bit of paper in hand and met with confusion and pushback - can't imagine what it will be like 5-6yrs later.

In my experiences with a couple of warranty jobs on my previous 2011, they've never liked being told how to fix an issue.... Best of luck, fingers crossed for you

Thanks guys...fingers crossed. The Jeep service bloke at the local Stealership isn't too bad, I have spent a bit of time over the years yakking to him about this & that...as I mentioned before he is a JGC owner so has some cred.

It is a mongrel that the software to get in to these things is proprietary so isn't available outside of a Dealer...

I was changing it's oil & filter today, so did have a look around the HPFP but couldn't see any wires that could be giving problems...but that does not mean there isn't of course..

From the GDL Vid...the HPFP Cover has to be removed to inspect the route taken by the wires and the wires themselves...AND....I take my hat off to them...they claim responsibility for doing it !....the vid is best way to see what Im wafflin about

185ks, replaced faulty engine oil temp sensor.
Reading all over the place on evic
Can be done from underneath,
Remove gearbox guard,
Remove oil pressure, then oil temp electrical connectors.
Need a long 3/4 socket.
Not a lot of torque needed.
Bit of a full arms length and feel job but not too difficult.
Temp used to read 93 to 94 hwy driving,104 towing 2.3 ton van
Now reads 104 to 105 hwy driving, anticipate 10 degree more with van.
Made a few enquiries and conclude oil should be 100 degree minimum.
100 to 110 is very normal for this engine.
Shows sensors can be giving a false reading.
I thought my engine was running cooler and happy about that .
Now know my original sensor was not reading correctly.
Hope this may help ease some worries about temp.
Cheers
Still the awesome car it always was.
Sensor $63.00.

My oil for hwy running is in the 95-100 range, towing 104-106 about normal, coolant will follow about 5 deg below, tranny just hangs around 90c most of the time no matter what, when it climbs everything is climbing and its a big bluddy hill, wind, heavier foot or hills will climb up about 10c, tranny maybe a degree..... thats with a 8 speeder and sensors values are within the stated parameters, again driving conditions are so variable wind, speed, hills, tyre pressures it not easy to try and compare ........... I tow 2.8t a lot but can monitor my temps with actual readouts as well as logged data......
