Theres the NP231 Command-Trac and the NP242 Selec-Trac.
The difference is the NP242 has the option of Full-Time 4wd, a rather misleading name for what is effectively AWD. It's designed for on road, lower traction use (such as rain/snow) with a centre diff.
So the easy way to tell which it has is look at the transfer case shifter. If it has the Full-Time 4wd option there, its the NP242.
