Default Brake caliper upgrade question.

Hi all.
I am needing to upgrade the calipers on the 95 XJ with 31's. They are really quite unsafe to be honest. I struggle to apply enough pressure to stop in a hurry let alone my wife

I have had the mechanic check the brakes, i've adjusted the drums, i've put on new better pads and even tried an electric vacuum pump. all to no avail.

So.

The BA calipers are a tight fit under the stock 15 steelies. By tight i mean even with machining them down.

The other day I was at a wreckers and noticed a rather petite pair of 2 spots that I learned belong to a landrover discovery. It has a 297mm disk dia (jeep is 280mm) and a thickness of 25-22mm. (Jeep is 24.4-22.7)
Do these sound like a suitable donor.(keeping the jeep rotors)
Obviously I will have to fabricate adapter plates for them etc.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
Darren.

He uses the BA and goes up to 16" wheels to fit them.
I am wanting to stick with my 15's.
