Default Twin turbo HP

Just a thought after reading the write up on the Jeep Wagoneer L with the 'new improved' twin turbo V6.....I wonder how much drama it would be to 'slot' that engine into our 'old' WK2's......with the reduced life cycle that is 'published' about our VM diesels, it would be a decent sort of 'upgrade'...and....cant say Im adverse to the advertised 420hp on tap....jus sayin....LS swaps into EVERYTHING are common place....surely there's a market out there for those that want to keep the WK2's and enhance and diminish the draw backs of the factory oil burner....not that Im totally against whats already under the bonnet....goes ok for me.....just an old 'revhead' churning cogs when reading articles.....anybody else thinking the same ???

Would the drivetrain take it?
There would be lots more sensors & other stuff like an ECU change.
Definitely not plug & play!
People are starting to realize its not just HP that you want, Torque over a wide range of revs is much more useful.
If you want 600hp, buy a prime mover!

Cant see much being plug n play which is a real drawback with these 'modern' buses....the write up has torque figures from low rpm.....was only the 'mindless rambling of an old man'....I love my Jeep and am thinking of ways to extend its life cycle to match mine...wont have to be a 50yr stalwart !....and...THANKS for the Prime Mover analogy....genuine belly laugh this end....cheers...its input like that that gives this forum its 'happy nature'
