Default Jeep service advice

I am travelling far from home and will be in Darwin soon, then returning via Alice Springs and Adelaide to Ballarat. My Jeep (WK2 Laredo Diesel) will have about 17k on the clock by the time we leave Darwin and well over 21k by the time I get home. It will still be less than 12 mths old (since first reg) so I am wondering if I should have serviced a bit early (in Darwin) or on the way (Alice Springs or Adelaide) or wait till I get home.
Anyone dealt with Jeep dealers in Darwin? In Alice it is currently Centralian Motors but they are getting out of on 30/6, before I will be going through.
I'm leaning towards getting it done early rather than late, given that 17k from new and actually well over 12 mths from build date (3/17) the oil might need changing. I used to change the oil in my WH every 6 mths or 10k.
Any thoughts?

There is no jeep in Alice springs so I would get it done in darwin. Just make sure that the service is the correct one as when darwin jeep did the 20000km on mine they followed the previous models 10000km service scheduled.

I'd be getting it done well before leaving just in case there is an issue found or the service apprentice makes a mistake. Plus it will be peace of mind knowing that it is 100% okay. Good for the car too with a belly full of nice fresh clean oil for those big kms you will be doing.
