So, what do you think you'll buy ?

I had up until the news on the SRT8, entertained the idea of the new ML500. As much as I'd love to have another high HP vehicle, it's not a as much a determining factor as the need for practicality.

A loaded WH Limited 5.7 would be much more practical than the SRT8 - and you could have it in July !
Also, don't forget there's no low range in the SRT8.

Practical yes, but as I said, when I see a SRT8 I'm going to want it and end getting annoyed cause some schmuck I know gets one by default when the come out and everyone knows about them. Also, as much as I really like the looks and improvement of the new GC, I'm a bit over driving a 'Jeep'.

Well looks like myself and most others here were correct. Yesterday I was shown the standard 5.7 GC, still and rather typically no further date on the SRT8 that I ordered. It looks like probably early next year before we see them I'd say.

In the meantime before my '01 GC fall apart and loses any more value I think I'm going to take a 5.7 GC as an interim vehicle till the SRT8 appears. There is at least enough on the 5.7 to keep me entertained for time being. I was dissappointed that the Nav radio wasn't standard but it's easy enough to retrofit and will be available in approx 8 weeks I'm told. I'm also going to piss off the garbage Goodyear Wranglers straight away and go for some Michelin Pilots as this car is not going anywhere near dirt other than 50m driveway occasionally.

That's pretty good. I remember my fully specced '01 was $72,000 all up back then.
