I have the crank sensors in stock at MidnightMods.com.au

I think it was you who posted on the FB CRD JK page about this issue?

Wish I had found your site earlier. Still waiting for the one from ebay to turn up. grumble grumble.....

Well a big thanks to Damian at Midnight Mods - the crank sensor I had organised fell through due to shipping problems from Europe. Damian had one and expressed posted it.

Its now installed and the JK seems to be running much better. Certainly starts more quickly.
With regards to the install - if you are a midget microsurgeon things will be much easier but for the rest of us - its a very tricky job for 1 bolt.

I found it hard to pin down a solution much less the actual location of the sensor hence the questions on here and other places.

So here are a few pics to help others in the future.

The crank angle sensor is located just in front of the oil pan. Undo 2 blots that are holding a plastic cover in place. The sensor is located way up and out of direct access. The sensor cable is at an angle but the bolt goes in vertically. So the torx needs to go in and then kink abit

You will need a few flexi adaptors for a 1/4inch socket set and a T25 torxs drive. Probably anything bigger than that will not fit.

Here are a few pics of the location and the tools I used.
Its a simple but very fiddly fix. I think the parentage of this sensor is in serious question!!

Thanks and Regards,

Steve

MY 2011 and its about 105,000 ks or so.

Been driving it a lot this week and seems to be running really well.

We are actually thinking of selling it and getting a 4 door - time for some more space I think.
