Default BFG 285/75R16, Stock rims, No Lift

Ok so the story goes, my tyres are well worn and i'm in dire need of new ones. I wanted to upgrade to bigger badder tyres but am lacking the money for a lift at the same time. Will KM2 285/75R16 fit on stock 16'' rims of an '08 JK?

Cheers in advance.

The stock 16" rims are 7" wide from memory. I think most 285mm wide tyres require a minimum 7.5" rim, so you may not be able to find somebody who is willing to fit them...

If you had the stock 16" rubber on before, why not go 265/75R16? They will fit on the rim and are still a bigger OD (32") than the stock rubber...

If you have an 08 model it should have 17 inch rims, only the 07's came with 16's, I have 285/75/16 BFG KM2s on my 07 model with a lift but apparently they will fit with no lift if you only do mild off road without disconnecting, I think they do specify a minimum of a 7.5 inch rim but I had no trouble getting them fitted at the tyre shop.

sorry typo, meant '07 JK. I know there is a lift in the future just not at the moment. I'll see if i can get the tyre shop to fit me 285s if not i guess ill just have to opt for the 265s. Do you have pics greenjk? And how do you like the KM2s?

I'll sort some pics out soon mate, very happy with the KM2s I picked them up off fleabay very cheap and have had no problems so far, they have been on for around 20,000k, previously ran BFG ATs and got over 115,000k out of them.
