Can anyone tell me if the addition of bushwacker flares will resolve the issue of my Cooper ST tyres 35/12.50R17 poking out of the standard guards, to satisfaction of the boys in blue?
Depends on which flare your after , if it's the pocket flare , then yes they will cover them , if it's the flat flare , then no they are the same width as standard .
I have posted pics elsewhere showing my 35's on wheels with 4.56 back spacing sitting perfectly on bushwacker pockets edge...also remember u will need mud flaps to match.

So ... it becomes legal with BW pocket flares. Are mud flaps necessary?
I have never heard of back spacing ... so much to learn.
Yes mudflaps stop "rooster tails" from your rear wheels... Yes they are required and to be honest they should be there anyhow... Cops are red hot in WA for no mud flaps...
