Hello from the USA...
we have 3...
'98 ZJ Grand 4.0, old Chrysler era, owned since new. Simple machine so I was able to do most repairs myself. Original 4.0 six untouched, except for tune ups, had auto trans re-sealed at about 80,000 miles, replaced rad, water pump, fan clutch, thermostat myself about 8 years ago, had AC evap and heater core done in the shop. All other maintenance and repairs I did myself,
'07 WK Grand Limited, Hemi with QD-II, owned since '09, has been more reliable than the '98, far fewer repairs although it is much more complex. Hemi power bests anything Toyota offers in the US. By comparison the 4Runner is reliable but dull.
'17 JK Wrangler, 3.6 with 6 speed, son's Jeep. Owned about a year and a half, 20,000 miles, so far very good reliability. I'd go with the 3.6 for sure in the Wrangler. In the US the engine is considered reliable and well thought of, it goes into nearly everything Chrysler makes.
