Default jk with a custom kettle fitted

had a few dramas today on the way home from campin, driving up a hill and the oil light flashed on then off a few times, so pulled up and the motor cut out, stopped and found the radiator reservior split and dumped all the coolant onto the motor which caused a slight " angry dragon " theme. once the steam cleared found smoke coming off the top of the motor and coming out of the dip stick too. not good with 35,000 on the clock. so its in jeeps hands now.
warranty should cover it. hopefully......

pics of phase 1 and 2 in the operation..

Question, if the reservoir had split didn't you see it steaming up before it had a chance to overheat?

ps: flatbed is the JK's natural habitat!!

Spewing! But you better remove the 3 inch lift and 33's then, they might say it strained the motor or something mate!

Mine had the heater hoses come off their clip & chafe through on the EGR pipe. Didn't dump it all at once, (just sent a slow, at first, spray onto the RHS headers), but yes, you only see the steam when you stop.
