Default Where are the Jeep Lemons?

C'mon guys, all this Jeep negative publicity must have some substance, is everyone keeping quiet about all their problems? Let's hear about how bad your KL is, all the faults, the unreliability, things falling off and so on.

Surely mine is the exception, due for it's first 6 month service and not much to complain about at all, still look forward to driving it But enough of the good stuff, trot out your horror stories right here right now

LOL. I look at every tow truck that I pass and I am yet to see a KL on it. In the last week I have seen a Pathfinder and a VW on one.

My KL is 14 months into ownership and I keep trying to find something to moan about but sorry, can't help you - I keep coming up short.

No clunks, no rattles, no dodgy transmission, no weird EVIC messages, Uconnect VR works perfectly even for my extremely questionable music artists which I have to give kudos to it for - it either likes my choices or it likes my voice and I am completely still enamoured with it overall. Still find obscure reasons to drive it during the day.

Sorry to disappoint DET.

I had a call today from FCA to discuss an email I sent on Boxing Day:

1 regarding the lack of information on how and what the 4wd systems are doing after getting stuck with a rising tide and 4wd temporarily unavailable
2 why no matter what the light indicates the air is always starts on recirculate mode (have to turn it to recirculate then back to fresh to get fresh air)
3 I can not change state on the nav system through the screen, only via Voice Recognition.

The answer to the first and last question was go ask your dealer, the second question was answered with yes we know about it and a fix will be out in March, just use VR in the mean time (which I actually told them about).

Nothing to really call it a lemon though, still love driving and have racked up 10,000km since picking it up 31st August.

Sent from a tiny mobile device with fat thumbs...

I've had mine for 12 months and 27,000km, used for the urban commute, towing a camper trailer, off roading, road trips and a trip to central Australia. It's a near perfect all-rounder. It has had a few minor issues that I wouldn't expect in a Japanese brand. Unfortunately sorting these out has been far more frustrating than it needed to be due to an incompetent service department and FCA's atrocious parts supply.

All in all, I rate the vehicle - and Jeep in general - highly. My folks had a WJ and a KJ for 15 years between them - not one of the Jeep's owned by my family has ever left us stuck.

Hopefully FCA and sort their dealers and their own shit out at some stage - their attitude is the biggest problem for the Jeep brand - the vehicles are fine.

lemons?
there with the people who don't know how to look after or know how to drive
and can only bitch about it when there either dumb minds noticed the engine light after a rellie borrows it or caned, and the only thing they know is to take back to a dealer and whinge about it (when the dealer knows it has been miss treated)
and stick stupid rants on you tube and whinge and bitch about it to others expecting someone to fix something that was caused by them .
and only goes to show L@@K at there history. bet there will be a few drink drivers and speeding history there.
l@@k at the history of all cars not just jeep.
and then notice the whole picture.
