Id say they are somewhere inbetween, bit stronger than 44 but not as strong as 60.
Its not as simple as just size of crown wheel, lots of things affect overall performance, how fine teeth on crown & pinion are ,size of support bearings size /support of pinion, diameter & spline count on axles ,axle support, etc.
Nissan h233 (stock GQ/GU front & most common rear) approx 9" ring gear 1.25" axles 31 spline rear 1.3" 33 spline, marginally stronger than d44.
Rarer rear only (Mainly fitted to utes & random GUs) h260 is close to 10" ring gear 1.5" axles, so about same as d60.

what 44 60 are you talking about? fronts rear.. spline counts? etc

a h260 is not much stronger than a h233.. pinion is the same size in both..

a ford 44 front has a much heaver housing nuckles hubs etc.. , a d60 front king pin with a 35psline outers is not in the same ball park. even a 35 spline full floater rear is alot stronger the pootrol stuff.

its hard to compare what you posted.. there are so many dana diffs out there with different componets.

D60s are around 9inch, a d44 is a little over 8in a h260 rear patrol diff (usually found in utes) is around 10in, the h230 patrol Diffs are around 9in...

Agree totally, & it also depends on the use ,ie what part is likely to fail first ie crown & pinion, axle, etc.

I think youll find D60 is closer to 10" its noticeably larger than ford 9", but due to 9" having extra pinion support it is about same strength for crown & pinion only.
