Default CEL-FI Go Aerial

I’m looking at purchasing the CEL-FI GO to increase my mobile phone capability in West Australia and don’t want an obtrusive aerial, especially at the front , annoying for the driver and passenger, what are different places and methods used out there

if you don't want a big aerial hanging off your car then there is no point in running a cel-fi . To get the best from your cel-fi you really need a whip mounted on the roof like i have and run with 2-3 different sizes depending on what sort of terrain you are in .

Thank you for the info and photo, I might get a mount on my sportz bars, and do you what you suggested, how and where did you your cable at the back?

You need the top of it up as high as you can. Roof rack mount is better than on a bull bar. Unless you have a sat phone.

Up on the roof really otherwise down on the bumper will be useless for coverage..... the secret to these type units is the aerial is high to get the signal and it retransmits, so you don;t have to climb hills or trees........................ You really need to be with Telstra and have a phone which can utilize 700mhz as well or not much signal out in the sticks at all....... main reason why some have no signal and others do.............. I even get a signal at Lara Wetlands which peed folk off...

I have a Nighthawk plugged into the same sort of aerial in the van which I can extend to about 4ft above the roof, my phone is WiFi call capable so calls will run through the Nighthawk when the phone has no signal ...................... bugga just remembered the extension lead is at home...
