I've seen pics of twin buckets in the rear of a 2dr. You could just get one, to allow for some gear next to it. What about a trailer, or a roof basket (if you've got a hardtop)? This is why folks buy big wagons when baby arrives: they feel they need to cart around too much stuff. I went from a pram to a backpack with my kids and it was heaps better. Maybe remove the rear seat altogether, then you're legally allowed to carry a kid in the front seat, might be worth unplugging the airbag temporaily, though. Think outside the square and you'll find a solution or three.

A trailer is great to compensate for the lack of carrying space in a shortie. Once you've got one, you'll find all sorts of extra activities to use it for: camping, bikes, moving stuff etc. The tow kit also gives you a solid rear recovery point.

I know you don't want a 4 door, my point is that Jeeepparts up in harvey bay I believe have a 4door they are wrecking, you might be able to get the rear seat from that, after all they just click out like the 2-door one.

Or call them on 07 4128 9422

Cheers
4door rear seats don't just click out either they are bolted in

Here is a 2 door with front buckets in the back if there is a 4 door being wrecked you could pick up the fronts cheap and have them fitted and engineered.
