Default YJ Jeep value

Hello all,
My partner wishes to import her Right hand drive YJ Jeep that she has owned since 1997. I have been through the mammoth amount of fees and charges to do so but have struck a bit of a snag. She will need to pay GST which is understandable but I cant establish its value as the YJ seems a rare item in Australia. Can anyone help me, currently Im just using early TJ as a guide.

I dont want to import and suddenly have it valued at a stupid amount because its rare in Aust. Its 95YJ Jeep 90000 km on clock. Manual 2.5 ltr 4 cylinder In very good all original condition. It carries a lot of sentimental value and will not be being sold.

Any guidence here would be appreciated.
Cheers
Paul

Import from where?

What would its value be in its current location and condition? Id look at that figure first then convert to A$, ignore any potential value here.

Cheers.

Potentially bas it on lower than a TJ, in Oz, Jeeps, even being rare, don't hold high values. If it was a stock YJ, I would be thinking around the 5-6k mark at a guess.

Thanks Mace1
I dont get to control the valuation when it hits Aust, which is why I was trying to get a guide if someone had knowledge here on YJs.
From Malaysia, Very good condition. 90 K original KMs.
Anyway was worth a try.

Considering their rarity in Oz (I've only seen 4 in Perth), they don't go for much when they come up for sale - especially the 4 cylinder models.
JimmyB's estimate would be on the money.
Even with the extremely low kms, can't escape the fact it's a 4cyl.
But I'd still love to have one in the garage
