Can I suggest searching for an old second hand Warran Brown torque wrench. These dont have the ratchet or click head, its the old style that have the flex bar on top and the pin clicks out when you reach the set torque.
When doing engine rebuilds our personal torque wrenches were tested monthly by the company and the only one that didnt require adjustment was my old warren brown. All the flash snap head wrenches required adjustment from just a drop or normal use.
So if you dont have the capacity for regular calibration, picking up an old WB will ensure yours is pretty good for life.
Glenfords is pretty good for price and supply of quality tools in WA, occasionally Coventrys (AHG now!) do good deals on old stock.
If you need to check a few things...welcome to come over and borrow mine for a second but im SOR!
Matt.
