For a mattress, have a look at the Black Wolf self inflating range. They are a bit expensive but are well worth it, just as comfortable as my bed at home. I also have the self inflating pillow. Both roll up small like your Ice Mule. Another great space saver I have is the Pico armchair from Hannibal Safari, light weight and packs up small and flat. I've been looking at the Helinox Sunset Chair, they get excellent reviews but you can only get them online and I'm a bit reluctant to splash out the better part of $200 on something I can't try first. I have a Wanderer tent similar to the OP's but its fly is incorporated into the frame work so I don't have to muck around trying to throw it over the tent which can be a pain if it's windy

No.1 would be my camper trailer, it beats sleeping in a tent and for short stays it's just as quick to set up.

After that, definitely my 50L Ironman fridge/freezer. How good are these, no more need to worry about ice and leaking eskys.

My Colman 3 burner stove with a bbq style grill to sit on top. I bought this through BCF and love it.

Yeah hard to go past a good campertrailer, my homemade one has been everywhere from Cape Tribulation to the Darling River Run. Not sure it could be classified as a single piece of equipment when it has a stove, fridge, comfortable bed, dinette table, solar power & batteries, water tank, hard side and insulated roof, and a toilet. And it all weighs less than 750kg so it is easy to tow and no brakes required.

My home-made battery box is my "don't leave home without it" item. It's 30 Ah from 2x 15 Ah thumper batteries, with dual USB and cig-out on top and at the back is a merit-in for the solar regulator. I have a 10w panel with 5m cable to keep it charged during the day. In the back of the jeep is the in-car charging by anderson plug with an anderson-to-cig adaptor. For days it keeps my Companion light strip going, charges phones, Mp3 players and bluetooth speakers no probs. The case is just a go-pro style pelican case which had foam inserts. My mate didn't want it any more and gave it to me, the batteries fit perfectly. In full sun I've had the voltage maxed at 14.5v coming in from my regulator off my 10w panel. Does the job:

and inside, all soldered and fused:

My other favourite thing is my Black Wolf Turbo Twin 240. It's up in minutes, awesome new style awning and side panel, less than $1000 all up with a lifetime warranty on the workmanship.

I've been thinking about one of these as well. I might just bite the bullet and buy one.
