FWIW, the remap offered by Diesel Tune Aust. is a dyno custom tune with a before and after graph supplied.

Craig, I'll PM you re. Horsepower, Cheers.
Hi mate, Sent you a PM earlier.

Thanks for chatting on the phone today Craig, your insights on the remapping etc. were very useful. I'll definitely go that direction (vs. chip) if I decide to do it on this car.

Cheers,
Tony.

No worries Tony.

You will find Matt at Horsepower Factory extremely helpful....... really knows his stuff.

Very happy with the performance and economy with not too much spend.

Cheers, Craig

FWIW, I have a plug and play diesel chip in mine and it’s been in for 2 years now without fault. Just for a bit of info on it, I bought it secondhand from Matt @ Horsepower Factory. Prior to developing their own custom tune for the Jeep they purchased several of these from different suppliers and tested them on his own Jeep. Once they had their own product ready he sold them off through this site and I bought one. HPF fitted it and did a power run with it when I picked it up. It was already set on the best setting that they had tested. I haven’t touched it.

I have also fitted an Idrive throttle controller and a DPF back 3” exhaust. It’s an entertaining drive now!

Hi all, I've got an ECU remap done by DTA in Sydney. NOt a massive improvement down low but very noticeable in higher RPM's. Very happy with the results, it was very noticeable particularly in the beginning I found that automatic was not downshifting as often. Fuel economy hasn't improved I don't think but that could just be my heavy foot. See attached the dyno charts

Cheers,
Gus

How is it that the 'before' torque figure is over 700 Nm when the engine produces around 580 Nm in standard trim?

I think there are a whole bunch of factors the feed into that, HP-Factory have an explanation on their website:
http://www.hp-f.com.au/how-to-read-a-dyno-graph/

You really should be looking a the percentage increases and apply those to the factory flywheel figures.

So in my case: 227/201=1.13 * 184KW = approx: 207KW
Peak torque: 750/700 = 1.07 * 580nm = approx 620NM

These numbers are not to far of other reports for tuned WK2 CRD's

Hope this helps.
