Hi 7ocko
We have our eye out for a Jayco Eagle too but we are 12 months away from purchase I would be very interested to know how your JK goes towing it once you get it.
Cheers Stephen

Hi Stephen , jk will tow it easy all up probs weigh around the 1500 kg mark with the extra water tank, keeping in mind I already changed my springs to the efs hd springs with a 2 " lift.
Mines a crd auto , plenty of grunt ! But I'm never in a rush towing. Yeah I was looking for a couple of year old jayco but they didn't have the options I got and only few k extra for a new one, really can't wait to get it. Just remember the extended draw bar so u can open the tail gait hahaha.

Cheers 7ocko
If you dont mind me asking what was the cost all up with the extras (PM if want) as we also have the Ultimate Xtrk's on our radar but they are quite a few $$ morre but look more offroad capable.

Yeah there's lots of campers out there and I think there only coming down in price , more competition so they have to drop there prices or try justify it.
As for off road ability I was stoked on the ground clearance of the new jayco
The outback also has rear nudge bar too so that good.
I won't be trashing this one haha cost a little more that a tent trailer.
The ultimates are a lot more coin , out of my budget once u add the options I have already .

Congrats
A draw bar mounted stone deflector.
Does the JK have a transmission cooler? imo a must if you tow long distances.
Maybe a transmission temp gauge?
If you don't already have a brake controller I highly recommended the Tekonsha p3 prodigy, 3 years 15000km no issues.
Thou not a camper option for the colder nights when a camp fire is not practical/allowed I have one of these outdoor gas heaters.

Just the right height & lets us sit outside under the awning nice and warm, the kids even toast marsh mellows on it.

Stone guard gaahhhh always something i forget my poor old trailer barley has a inch of paint on the guards haha, yeh still have the trans cooler sitting on the bench better get that in, I was thinking of the red arc remote brake controller it hides behind the dash and all u see is the little light and a little adjuster knob
The jk has very little space for things like UHF and brake controllers mounted to the dash , I'd rather everything hiding.
The heater idea would be nice , maybe should get internal heater ?
