Mark this is logic behind the land rover 110's setup that the army uses

i guess every mod is a trade off so i dont think there is a 100% right answer

I overheard one of the drivers at TT, say he only had 3psi in 40+" tyres and he still couldnt get traction . [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

the bigger the tire is, the lower pressure you can get away with, (i think), that also got to do with side wall constructions.

when i had my BFG AT's, i used to pop beads all over the place :D and i only run ~20psi... :

I run my MTR 33-12.5's at 12 on the rocks. They bag up nice at that. I am going to try 10 next trip

It's the volume of air not the pressure that supports the vehicle - that's why generally larger tyres require less pressure to carry the same load.
40" tyres....What brand? The only guy I can recall running 40"s is Rod Fergusson - and they are Ground Hawgs - great mud design, but very stiff coumpound.

Yeah just like the Monster trucks only run about 5 psi in the tires. Can you imagine trying to get 30 psi into one of those suckers?

yea you would need the exhaust from the SHUTTLE
to get that much pressure into them ;)
