dont forget that drag car tyres although they start fat are designed to increase in height and become narrower when spun fast
watch a funny car on the start of a drag race you will see a very noticeable change in the tyre height and width
I have heard a discussion that curry was trying this trick out to get extra height at an obstacal but I dont think it worked real well ???
part of the reason the us is goiung to high HP is to allow instant wheel spin when needed to lay a strip of rubber that that on the second atempt will increase traction but I dont think this would work well on australian shally rock it is more a trick for granite
Duallys are the answer! Anybody got any truck rims in a Jeep stud pattern ;) . They are not only wide but skinny too :eek: And then I'm gonna get one of those South African anti-car jacker flame throwers and point it at the tyres to soften them up before an obstacle....
