Sure is, and I appreciate your opinion (I've spent enough coin that at the moment I'm stuck with the Tough Dogs anyway) - will be interesting to see how they pan out. Cheers

Check out my Ride(s)

Finally got to hook the van up to test the rear spring air bags. Very impressed with the way it sits, will find out how it rides tomorrow morning up the beach! This pic is with approx 150kg on the tow ball and 30psi in the bags. Since taking this pic rear tyres have been pumped up from 28 to 32 psi.

From a measurement perspective, without the bags it dropped 30-35mm. With them it has dropped about 10mm.

Sent from a tiny keyboard with fat fingers, apologies for my spelling. .

Hi Ryan,
Why the change? We're the Coopers finished? Didn't think you'd had them that long.
Be interested to hear your thoughts the new P3's and how they compare to the Coopers.

Hey Paul, always found the coopers a bit too firm for the JK.

But also had a tyre shop screw the balance and made the tyres wear unevenly. So despite a couple of goes at balancing from a few different shops (the last of which said all 4 tyres were out by at least 50grams) gave me a slight vibration over 90km/h. It wasn't huge but annoying with the amount of freeway driving I do so time to try something new. Gotta love having the cost covered by the lease though , otherwise would have just stuck it out.

Much happier with the ride. Had Shents swap the shocks the other week to fox remotes and terraflex speed bumps so tyres were the final piece of the puzzle.

Were the Coopers the same size? What pressure did you used to run them at?

What are you running the P3's at? Mine are the old ATZ 4-rib (285/70/17) and I run them at 32 cold. They seem to wear evenly at that and are comfortable. Any higher on the pressure and the ride firms up and they start to wear more around the centre.

I've got a slight wobble at around 90 as well. I've been meaning to get under it and have a look and see of anything of the ball joints etc are wearing loose but never seem to find the time. I remember every time I get on the freeway but forget just as quick. My tyres are due for rotation so will get them rebalanced and start investigations after that.
