Default WJ 4.7 Auto Trans Issue

Hi All,

New here , Iv just bough a WJ 4.7 V8 with Quadra-Trac II .

The issue i have is i can drive 50klms fine then the auto is holding gear's and not shifting. If i pull up turn the jeep off and back on again it will shift fine then bam holds gears again.

There is a code P700 coming up on the dash.

I was thinking the shift solenoid ?

Any help would be great as i love the jeep first one even but this issue is screwing me,

Regards

Ben

Also check battery. Low batt will throw box into limp mode (2nd gear only)

Also pull the plug going into the tranny and check for fluid. Fluid in the plugs can cause crazy behavior
