Here are a couple of pics of the module
If you get stuck and are interested, the fuse box is still attached as I couldn't get it to come off and didn't want to break it.

Got the camera and reverseing lights working just by chance or fluke.
Went to install a new plate on the rear 7 pin trailer socket bracket on the back of the jeep, so I could attach some anderson plugs for the caravan. Then went to start the jeep to move it out of the garage so I could see abit better and the camera worked when I put it into reverse. Went to the 7 pin trailer pug and touched it and the camera went off again opened up the trailer socket plug and the black wire had come off its conection. So disconected the trailer plug from main harness plug. So all good so far
So it might of just been a bad earth. Or a short

Good to hear you got it sorted out and it was something so simple and before you started pouring money into it. My commander went into limp mode on monday and it wouldn't shift gears played up all week last night i pulled the shift module out and gave it a clean and the thing driving so good it use to have a bit of a clunky shift thats gone.

1 hour of my time and no money can't complain.

Front control module, located just behind the battery. Other then wiring/pin check not much you can do to it.
Im trying to find a power wire for reverse lights for a reverse camera at the moment so is there one coming out of this FCM?
Tried at the shifter with no luck.
