Default Front Brake Rotors replaced under warranty

Hi All,

Just thought I'd let you know that my 05 KJ with 7500km's on it was exhibiting some steering wheel shimmy under brakes, especially noticeable above 60km. It had actually done this pretty much from the time it was new, but got progressively more noticeable.

Spoke to the dealer in West Perth, and the Jeep service manager their told me they had had a few in with this problem. Booked it in and they changed the rotors under warranty - note on the service docket was 'Front rotors exhibited excessive runnout'. Anyway, its all fixed now! 2 new rotors, all under warranty.

I am sure alot of people have no complaints what so ever and all is in order. Not one little thing going ever wrong. But I am sure that there are people who can say the opposite. And My KJ fits in that category. From 14km on the clock it has been nothing but trouble.3 days after getting it 500km on the speedo and it was in the work shop for nearly 4 weeks. 14 months old and I haven't gone 4 months straight without the vehicle having to go into the work shop. Last problem was the left rear axle seal under warranty at 30000km(is this normal?)
My KJ has an easy life, serviced on time but something always needs fixing. My wife now after 14 monhts just wants the KJ gone and never to be seen.
Oh yes my rotors were changed also along with the water pump at the same time for the 2nd time

Cool

I actually think the KJ was poorly planned. The Commander due soon is a return to original Jeep looks. The long wheel base Wrangler and if we're lucky a Gladiator or similar. The KJ will never go the distance in years and build numbers of the XJ and others. I just think that like the rushed CJ Hawk series it'll fade away.
