Received my UCA's last Thursday (Incl DVD) and with the help from Nobster they were installed on Saturday. I didn't grind out any of the pockets so I will live with for a while and see if there is any major knocking etc.

Just returned from having a wheel alignment...Apparently the cambers etc where "all over the place" and took longer than normal to reset. But all is good now..............

Hmm with the Aussie $ approaching parity with the US$ these are getting cheaper. CD what did you decide about the 'engineering' ? This new VSI-50 has me spooked into trying to do as much as I can before the shutters come down on mods.

Before you put your UCA's on and with your lift in, did you have abit of a clunk when driving on the road when you hit small bumps?? and did these make your wheel alignment ALOT better???

Cheers

That CLUNK is two things.
1/ the original arm contacting the coil at full droop.
2/ the upper arms contacting the lower lip of the mounting/pocket

With Als Aarms when the strut extends to max the arm does not contact the coil.
But the Als arms are thinker, so you are advised to open up the pockets to allow full movement with banging the arm on the body. Some have not and just bang away till the body or arm bends.

I opened my pockets out. all good.

Wheel alighnments can still be tricky, depends on your place.
