Power Steering Fluid in 2014 Diesel.
Hi all,
While changing the engine oil filter I noticed the power steering fluid level in my 2014 JGC Diesel is below the min line. No leaks anywhere so I did a search and it seems this is not uncommon. There seem to be many different threads regarding the specific ATF to use, and apparently some vehicles have an electric pump and some have a mechanical pump.
I'm not sure what the 2014 diesel has, so thought I'd post up here for advice before putting in ATF that may lead to damage. Can anyone recommend the specific ATF I should use to top up the system?

I get what you're saying, but I HATE and DESPISE all the dealers in my area. I'd rather use something like a Penrite oil that I can purchase without giving a single cent to the dealer.
I was hoping someone else had found a suitable, safe replacement. According to the Penrite site, the ATF FS is suitable for belt-type units and LDAS is suitable for electric units. I'll do some more research and post my findings....

Penrite LDAS is the correct fluid for the Electric/Hydraulic steering.
Same colour also.

I grabbed a bottle last night and topped up the reservoir. 300km drive today and nothing fell of, so it looks OK
