Unhappy Swirl Motor pros and cons

Hi guys, just wondering whats the pros and cons of doing the swirl motor resistor mod, weather it's using a resistor or the one from CB-Engineering just wondering what does the swirl motor actually do, what happens if i use a resistor and or what about a complete delete altogether?

Check out Ren0vators build thread, he did a full swirl delete.

From what I have read the swirl only works at low rpm and is fully open above 1500rpm. Plenty are running the resistor mod alone and haven't noticed any difference.

The swirl motor is designed to increase the speed of airflow at low revs
What it actually does is collect oil & gunk over time
Which results in less airflow at all revs

As Clarky mentioned, I've completely removed mine
The only difference I notice is she's a bit ratlier prior to boost
My Advice; Do the resistor mod before the swirl motor fails
