WJ: The FAMWAG.
After many years of being a Wrangler boy the need came about to get something a little more practical. Now having 3 kids I just couldn't look at another small Jeep so it was decided to look into something a bit more family orientated, hence the name FAMWAG.
Originally I purchased a stock standard 2001 WG, it was written off in the big hail storm we had here in VIC in 2012. As favour has it a member on here had a good looking 1999 WG for sale just after the insurance check cleared, so she was transported down from QLD to make a new life here in VIC.
These pics were the first day she came home.

I've now had it a while and a few of you may know that I've since added a DIY front bumper ( I know it's not ADR compliant ) and in the process of adding a rear swing away.
So far the main aim has been to make her ride a bit better. So I've replaced all front end bushes, rear end bushes and added a JK front adjustable track bar. The JK track bar has made a world of difference in regards to DW, the added bonus is I can easily get aftermarket bushes to suit.
I replaced the front headlights with some halo lights and also the headlight bulbs.

Next on the list is 2 x 30" LED lights bars with a set of Narava spotlights.
Also looking at modding the roof rack so it sits lower, going to take off the stock roof rails and add a piece of flat plate in the channel, that way I can weld the rack straight onto the plate. Then will be the high-light jack mount with shovel and another 30" LED light bar.
Sitting waaaay back in the shed is a set of 4:56 ratios to be done once I go to 33's. Hopefully also looking at a set of bushwacker flares also in the future. Not looking at going any higher with her, just a good fender chop should do.
Also chasing a ZJ washer bottle so I can use the windscreen washer again, every time I'm on full flex I rip out the stock washer bottle.

Hmmm not sure abou those flares, I would have to paint them black.
This is what I'm looking at for the roof rack:

Nothing major. Just need to take a little bit out of the diff bracket, the angle of the track bar is a little more acute than the stock WJ. About 5 mins of filling and the job is done.
