Guys I've just popped back in due to a PM about some old pics in my EGR thread. Thought I'd share this "fix" for photobuckets strong arm tactics, in case you haven't come across it yet. This was a workaround that someone discovered on the *Patrol forum and it is a change on your computer, not the hosting forum so it should work for anyone looking for old pics, unless the pic owner has actually removed them from photobucket. I've just tried on here and confirm it works, bit of a pain having to use another browser but I just use chrome when looking for said pics. Sorry if you have already discovered this as I haven't bothered to read around the forum to see if it has been discussed
Although this is not an actual forum problem there is a fix that has just become available if you have a specific browser, several people have tried it and it works. It doesn't matter whether you have deleted your PhotoBucket account or not, the pics are still there. Anyway here's a fix Natalie just supplied in a side discussion.
I'm not too sure about mobile users but for chrome users on laptops/PCs etc., we came across an extension that will enable you to see the broken images hosted from PB. Another temp fix for now (who knows how long it'll hold up) but here it is:* https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...ifiaedg?hl=enm
^Click the link and choose to add the extension to Chrome. Then, you want to go to the Extensions main page. It's located in the top right corner menu button, the one that is 3 dots. Or, you can try this link: chrome://extensions/
Find the one you just added (it's icon is the shape of a puzzle piece) and check the box that says "Allow Access to File URLs"
Clear cookies in cache, load up a page with a Photobucket link, and let us know if that worked for you.
I just checked with my colleague that has an android phone and this extension would also work for mobile chrome users as well. You can check out this link for more details on adding extensions to your mobile browser (for chrome on android): [Pretty cool] You can now add Chrome extensions from your Android device to your desktop's Chrome
