Default ATF+4 top up and engine oil

I will have to top up the Mopar ATF+4 transmission fluid and wondered what people are using? I went to Repco and couldn't find anything listed. Penrite states their fully synthetic can be used, but can it be used to top up the Mopar ATF+4?

Anyone recommendation on which 5W20 engine oil to use for the 5.7 HEMI?

There shouldnt be a problem topping up like with like eg.Penrite ATF4.However best in the end to do full drain and refill .Twice if you want to get all fluid out of tc.With regards to 5.7 hemi not knowing what year, there is thread after thread and much debate on US Jeep sites re correct oil specs ,viscosity etc mainly because of the ongoing hemi cam shaft, lifter failures.Even in the latest Ram etc. Latest theory is too little camshaft splash lubrication because of height of camshaft in hemi block. Some are talking about oils with extra moly in them.I put in an offer for a 2013 GC SRT8 last week ,next day the owner rang me and said engine developed a loud tapping ,usual noise leading to lifter failure plus cam.At the moment deal off or purchased at around $12000.00 less due to repair cost, usually motor out complete strip down.

Thank for the reply.
The ATF in there only was used for a year and the top up is because of the strip down of the donor, so lost only what was in the cooler and lines.
Might ask Penrite directly if compatible or buy a couple of litres from the dealer.

The HEMI is a 2008 model just before the VVT came in.
I was just going to run the factory spec viscosity.

Just found the thread I remember seeing a while ago about it.

Obviously Mopar do not make oils.Look up the spec sheets for the Mopar product then compare with Penrite.I have caught Penrite out a few times advocating certain fluids / oils for Jeeps which were entirely wrong eg wrong coolant for WKs wrong transfercase oil for WH etc.Not saying Penrite not a good product ,I use it , ,just they get wrong information from the manufactures etc.who would rather keep specs to themselves.Even FCA a couple of years ago sent out worldwide TSB to immediately replace 5w30 oil and replace it in WK diesels with 5w40.This was due to engine failures.

I've been using their recommended ATF in mine for the past ~40,000kms, unfortunately been through a few litres as I had issues with a split pan filter.

That is great to know.

Their preferred or alternative?
Full synthetic, FS with green label, or semi, MHP with purple label?

Its the FS green label, occasionally its on special at the larger stores but its not something you change out as frequently as the engine oil.
