When you say 'no boost', have you actually had a pressure gauge on it to show no boost? If you wish to experience no boost, you can remove the hose from the intercooler to the inlet manifold & try & run it. That will show you a no boost situation.
Typically when you have a #1 injector sensor failure, it will run well up to about 1900rpm & then no more rpm, very noticeable in 4th or 5th gear. When you make changes, do one at a time & see what happens. Removing the vac hose from the erg diaphragm (small hose) should not cause the engine to stall or not start. Removing the small hose from the turbo wastegate diaphragm should not cause the engine to stall or not start.
