Smokes more than normal - white/grey
Does that sound like an air leak to you? Even after bleeding- still limping.
The fact that disconnecting the #1 sensor made no difference, suggests strongly that it is the problem. Had the problem been another thing, you would see a change to the way it runs. The smoke is probably because it has sat for a week.
If you want, you could check the leads back to the ECM. It is a pain as its inside the cabin behind the center console. You can get at the plug (over 50 pins). If you can look at the wiring diagram & find the right ones, you can see if you still have a resistance of around 100 ohms. If not, you have a broken wire in the loom.
I am not sure what the value should be if you measure across the lead back to the ECM at the 2 pin plug.
Hope that helps!

I have commented on your post. Thanks for your input and oscilloscope idea. Got it working.
Unsure how to read it though. Hoping you could check the image on your thread and confirm please before I try buy a new Injector off Amazon.

Pcm wiring checked out fine at 7.2k ohms.
I also ran it off a separate diesel supply to the fuel filter; bled it up and took it for a blat up the driveway and still no change so you are probably correct @layback40 with it being the #1 Injector.
See images in following posts.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Just had a look at your oscilloscope signal picture . There seem to be no pulse signal showing from injector 1 .
Has to be the same like the one i've shown with maybe some difference in horizontal lenght or vertical amplitude . Your settings on the scope are ok only the 1ms/div should be 10ms/div but it still should be ok and show the signal .

Howdy,

Replaced injector with another second hand one. 96ohms.
No difference.
Checked fault codes with OBD2 Scanner after a drive. No codes.
So I started cleaning out all the plugs with contact spray after disconnecting battery and noticed this one has but marks on pins 1 and 7.
Part # on switch 52772A8.
Do you guys know what this plug is for?
Down by the pedals on my RH drive jeep.

Cheers
Tom
