I was just doing a quick comparison to another solid axle front end vehicle. My price was the first one I found on carsales so your example shows dealers have plenty of margin to play with. $78k in NSW da.

If I'm seriously going to spend $80k on a petrol 4x4 then a RAM may be worth a consideration.
V8 hemi and 33" tyres is a better starting combo then the Gladiator has.

Do not forget that much lower priced dual cabs that match or better pay load and towing are available.
So a Rubicon USA spec gladiator with a petrol should be about $60000 at best to be of any value.

As ugly as they are you're spot on. A RAM makes a lot more sense now compared to JT pricing.

But crap offroad, uncomfortable, 1980s interior with no technology, rear axle width issue, clutch issues....the list goes on. Not an option or real comparison. Most would compare with Ranger Raptor which can only tow 2.5t.

No they don't, even in the states they DON'T have the eco- diesel in a Gladiator yet.
