ordered the rubicon 4.5" lift for her today, keen as mustard for it so i can get some decent clearance,

Gave it the 6mnth goin over with a good wax & polish, steam cleaned the engine bay and kinda weatherproofed it so now too scared to dirty it! Defeats the purpose for wat its built for doesnt it!

Put this in on Friday:



Dynomax Super-Turbo with 2.25" tailpipe and new cat. Sounds good, no louder inside, not too loud outside.

Windex, muffler was $US60, cat was $US120 and about $US100 shipping. I was going to get the tailpipe made up locally cause it added about an extra $US80 to the shipping. But I changed my mind and ordered it seperately, that way at least I know it turns out how I want it and I don't have to deal with mechanics. Was quoted $350 do have it done locally and that didn't include new cat.

Fitted new air intake hose to the stock airbox (with ram air setup) as the supercrap plastic one gave up the ghost. Found a landcruiser hj 60 diesel hose is a perfect fit and looks stock!

Went up to Bunyip state forest for a look see. 4wd tracks are still closed, but transmission line clearings are brilliant fun! lots of standing water.
