Default Help with Diff and Transfer Case Oil ID

I have done several search's for the correct oils to order, however I can't seem to find the thread anymore. Would any members be able to help with the specifications so that I can order them. My 2015 GC ( CRD) is coming up to its 40,000K service. The dealer had has let me down on too many occasions now, therefore I service it myself. Less grief this way . Obviously it has to meet makers specification.

This was my post from a previous thread. On the choice of engine oil I use Mobil ESP 5W30 from October to March and change to Mobil 1 ESP Delvac 5W40 in the other months as it it the time I tow the caravan up north.

Just to let any one interested in this thread I have completed the entire 80K service. The engine oil was Mobil ESP 5W30 @13.50 a litre. All filters were from Wesfill. for about $130. They can be had cheaper on line but I bought mine from Bursons. The gear oils were about $72 for both front and back differentials . The Transfer case was about $40. All in all it was not a hard job The rear diff oil was quite black and a little thin. I think I will be changing it at 20K rather than 40 as is recommended. I also changed the viscosity to 75W-140 (redline) rather than 75W-85 as I will be towing in warm temperatures in the near future. The front diff oil (which by the way was the only mildly difficult area to get to) was quite clear and gold in color. I have kept that at 75W-85 (Penrite GL5). The transfer case ATF came out quite red and mostly clear. I dont think it needed to be changed but I had already purchased the fluid and was under the car. I used Royal Purple max ATF. All in all it was not a hard job. The list of tools required is not extensive. I did purchase a torque wrench to make sure all plugs were torqued properly.

If you have an elsd diff in the rear it is imperitif that you put Mopar friction modifier in. It is quite cheap even from a dealer. No other friction modifier will do as the Mopar one is unique in the additives it has
