Thanks guys. As anyone with a KJ Diesel "should" know, the air intake sits just below the driver's side headlamp. And yes, I did manage to suck some water in but luckily it didn't make it past the filter!

You are very lucky - I witnessed a XJ diesel destroy itself in exactly the same circumstance, only a few drops past the filter were needed.

True but I think mkh had a more subtle approach..... Got some footage around somewhere of that XJ having a drink.

Default A bit of KJ action

Near the powerlines in Gembrook. Was totally stock when these pics were taken. Can't wait to go back with a lift and some decent tyres...

Default A bit of KJ inaction

Didn't quite make it through this bog hole in Gembrook. Mate of mine made it through in his Patrol only to get stuck about 100m further on. Took us 6 hours to get him out. Special! The mud was like grease. I reckon only a tank would have made it through there. What the hell were we thinking?!?

2nd January 2007 - Landcruiser Park
Finally got the car sorted (lift, tyres, underbody protection) and was game to give it a real try out.
Had to recover one of the guys Prados at the PigPen after some brain fade - not terminal though and he managed to drive it home.

Split intercooler hoses (both) next trip out (Australia Day) ... not happy Jan ...
