Default replace transfer box

long story short,, I busted my Tbox on the road, in 4x4,

she went bang and grinding and now I only have 2wd,

im in chasing another transfer and just wondered what is a avg time to remove and refit the box? will have a hoist,

but if I buy another hole car one box will come out on the ground, fun times

miss having 4wd, this will teach me proper to take out 4wd on the hard stuff

Not being an expert on these things and coming from a wrangler perspective if you still have 2WD wouldn't that indicate a snapped chain in the TC which wouldn't be a massive (ok maybe it would be in hindsight) job to replace.

As for a swap I bought a second hand one on here for $400 I think when I blew mine up (it was in about 8 large chunks thanks to a front prop shaft blowing a cardigan joint and oscillating the yoke to shreds). After getting it towed home I did the swap in my Appartments garage. I only needed a trolley jack and about 3 jack stands. FSM has more detail. It's not that big a job to 1 for 1. It took me a day and half a slab of beer!

Hmmmm !!! Maybe a type of smoke that is not legal that you carry around in the pocket of a thing like a jumper that has buttons up the front.

yea just DONT drop the end of the auto to low to the ground when pulling transfer away from auto, auto oil pisses out everywhere keep it as high as possible. ps have rags on hand or clean the concrete before the misses sees it "job well done hey ruffy"

Not hard to do. A tad awkward to get.to the top bolts but other than that pretty straight forward. Support the auto, take off cross member and transfer case bash plate and exhaust pipe. This is what i did anyway to give myself room. And just had it of my chest and wormed my way out.
