You could have welded a flat plate to the back of the hoop (but would mess up the powder coat).
What about direct mount into the bottom part of the bar or into one of the existing holes near the winch mount? Or attached mid way up the bonnet?

Gidday Zander, Yep it,s an AEV Bar, eventually I will make up a bracket that welds to the Hoop, (similar to the ARB & DBOR Bars) I did look at side mount but I prefer the front mount, current set up will do for now, it is very solid the bracket is the GME, it is Stainless Steel & the Bolts are SS Grade 8.8, looks better in person lol my photography skills are serously lacking

Painted my rims black with etch primer.
Took the aev snorkel off ...Made a blanking plate to cover the hole.
