People have gone stupid with this thing, I've gone to the shop each night this week to get a couple of things and haven't been able to get toilet paper, maybe I should let work know I'll be late tomorrow due to needing to beat the idiots to the toilet paper tomorrow morning.

You would be surprised where tp might be found. I was driving through a central west town the other day and filled up at Coles Express. I tripped over a pallet of Quiltons on the way in. A bit too luxurious for my liking, but I thought anything is better than nothing. A poor guy at the coffee machine saw me with a 10pack and was bowled over. He missed it on the way in. He told me he was down to his last sheet at home. Poor bugger was relieved.
In the bush, this stuff is precious due to limited storage. Who would have thought people would be rationing at home? Some vultures are selling rolls online at $2 each.
A thought bubble: Quiltons should stop selling 10 packs. They should make 'limited corona edition' 2 packs only. You can only buy one pack at the checkout unless you have 10kids or something.

The most important things to do re CV-19 which is real and will be here until it peaks around June and settles to lower levels after July are:
1. WASH YOUR HANDS with soap and water many times a day. U will be surprised how many people don't even do this after they have had a crap.
2. Follow the social distancing rules. No hand shake, no kissing, no hugging and no European kiss/hug thingy that seems to have caught on here (who knows why);
3. Avoid crowded places.
4. Proper etiquette when coughing, sneezing etc.
5. Stay away from snotty kids.
6. Keep said snotty kids (even your grandchildren) away from your home, especially if you are 60+ yrs old: they could end up killing you!!
7. practice good home hygiene.
Just my bits worth
Oh, it will eventually be everywhere.... including the deserts, coasts, mountains etc.and everywhere else you might think it safe to travel. Do it anyway!

I went shopping yesterday for supplies as I'm going camping this weekend. I got everything I needed including mince though there was only four packets on the shelf and the last rump steak (the only steak left was the real expensive stuff. I also got the last 4 bananas. No toilet paper though but thankfully I still have some left in the camper.

My wife mentioned people were talking in the streets this morning about a thai woman in town having it, and that she had a farang (foreigner) husband, nothing concrete in truth though, hope they weren't talking about her haha.

Hey Jimmyb, I just reread what I posted. Bit ambiguous, I was suggesting that the medications would be easier to obtain over the counter in your location. Both have been now named in the media down here. If any members get sick with it, you may be able to purchase for them.

Non essential travel is now under review. Yesterday and today, I have seen an endless stream of caravan haulers heading west into the interior. I doubt they are going home. Could eventually be heading north as the cold sets in. I guess the NT will be closed. Grey nomads? I doubt it. A neighbour also left town with his wife and young kids today towing their very long caravan.
What does non essential travel mean to people who are already on the road?
