Cool

Have a look at these. The clamps secure the roof rack to the orig. rails. the rack is full length but could be 3/4. The other rack fits inside over the 96lt gas bottle and can be raised if needed. Here the roof rack is $140 fitted and the internal one $95.

Go the FuglyFab Rear Deck for the inside... Supports about 100kg (it's what I weighed last time I was jumping around on it). That's what I'm putting my LPG tank under when I can have it installed.

I'm sure I could build something that supports 50kg or so out of square tube, with a tube bender. There are some pretty crappy "bought ones" out there. A mate's one died on the Canning Stock route when I was there last - the welds broke - it was a TJM.

Probably highjacking the thread, but whats with the lpg tank in the rear cargo area. I though that with ths lpg conversion it went underneath the car and a small sub petrol tank is fabed up on the left hand side infront of the rear diff. (Well thats the way mine was done, was told that was the way the "kit" came)??

when your alone are there is 2 of you then is still plenty of room inside the car for a fridge and food for a few days.. 2 swags a tent if need be and all the smaller items which are needed... plus having the 2 tanks means u can go further and its cheaper.. i get 90L out of the tank in the car! thats 45 to fill up usually 40 and i get 550k out of it! plus i fill up the original for 100-115 depending and i get another 500-600 depending on what i do.. so total of just under 1000km for about 150 bucks.. and plus if u find a servo with LPG its even cheaper again maybe 1000km = 80 or so bucks.. for the sacrafice of a little room which i dont need im happy to save in the long run..
