When hanging the door on the hinges they obviously didn't check/adjust it for correct fit prior to painting. People used to joke about not buying cars built on a Friday before a long weekend.
I suppose the same can be said about repairers throwing a repair together on a Friday just to get it out of the shop.
PM me the name of the repairer so I know where not to go if I need repairs in the future.
Cheers

You can see where the hinge was by the outline in the new paint underneath it!
I couldn't see that when I put mine back on, (you can see the different paint on the hinge, I used DupliColor Bed Liner on it. Any paint I had wouldn't match, so I used something completely different so it was deliberate & didn't look like it was just a bad match.)
I put the hinges on the doors loosely, then fitted them to the JK. I tightened one bolt on the lower, then lifted it a bit & tightened one of the top ones & then checked the gaps & that they opened & closed without catching. Then I tightened the rest & did them all fully.
Mine don't have the nut on the bottom of the hinge pins, (PO removed them & they were not there when I got it second hand), so I just lift the doors off in summer & put the tube doors on.

Hi All,
Couple of months on and still unresolved, so thought I'd share with you all so that you can avoid, or at least be aware when dealing with these guys.
Insurer: RACV (to be fair, they just referred me to the assessor)
Assessor: IAG
Repairer: RMA - Repair Management Australia, Mornington (AKA: BDS Panels, Mornington)
Have ended up sorting out myself. no wind noise, no scraping, though could probably align better as it's a little cluncky when shutting the door. Quite fiddly given it's such minor adjustment with a heavy door.
Thanks for your help, keep wheeling, and see you on the tracks.

What I did, when adjusting mine was to loosen the bottom hinge while having one screw in the bottom tight enough to just hold it.
Lift door as far as possible, while closed, and nip up a screw in the bottom hinge.
Check to see (hear) if it closes neatly without hitting anything. Repeat until happy.
Tighten rest of the screws.
Took maybe 5 minutes to get happy with it.

Nice one Banshee, thanks for the tip.
I'm looking to get step ups installed so I'll give that a crack.
