Default Polyairbags leaking.. a fix

Have had polyair bags inside HD springs on the rear of the JK for about a year. About to head off for a 9 month sojourn from work and noticed L side airbag was slow leaking. Off with the wheel, disconnect the shock and L rear sway bar link to drop the spring and airbag to have a look. Put the spring + inflated airbag into a bucket of water (couldn't notice a leak with the soapy water spray bottle test but knew there was one). Noticed a small air leak at the connection between hose and spigot. Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles. Tightened the crapshit clamp, added some silicon and put everything back. No leaks.

A few days later check the pressures and still obvious pressure drop in the l bag so must still have a small leak.

So, off with the wheel etc again, to get to the airbag. Bag in bucket of water again. A very fine leak coming from the hose as it connected to the spigot. Smaller than before but still a leak.

So, I fit a 4mm Repco circle hose clamp to connect the hose to nipple. Tighten real tight. Into the water bucket again. Hey, no leak. Fiddle with the connector etc to try and induce a leak. No bubbles. Trimmed off the excess threader on the circle hose clip and widened the hole of the protector pad so the circle clip would not foul. Everything back together again and hopefully problem solved.

Time taken... 1.5 hours. Simple fix but jeez, quite an effort.

Cheers
