Default Introduction new jeep owner

Hi fellow Jeepers, just taken delivery of my first Jeep a new Trail Hawk. Very happy so far although given a few negative comments from a few people that possibly have never owned a Jeep but have suddenly become experts in all things Jeep, had me second guessing my decision for a moment. As we are still getting to know each other I will be trawling these pages for tips and info. I have travelled quite a lot through outback Australia towing my Pioneer Camper trailer and hope to do many more trips, maybe just in a bit more comfort. After Jumping out of a 2007 single cab 4x4 Rodeo ute into the Trail Hawk it has been a bit of a learning curve but I am looking forward to seeing how it preforms in the scrub. Who knows maybe I will catch some of you out on the track. Cheers Coxy

Welcome mate, having driven a JK for the last 5 years I am now used to the Jeep haters and have ordered a Granite Crystal Trailhawk with the works myself

Looking forward to a bit more on road creature comforts while towing the Jayco wind up van around the country side.

Where abouts you located?

G'day Coxy and welcome. The more the merrier, things are a bit quiet on the KL thread but I am sure it will explode with new members as soon as the word of how good this SUV gets out.

Thanks for your replies, Together with the good lady wife,we are from Geelong which is not a bad spot to base myself from. Within a few hours we can be in the high country or in the Otways, we can be at the snow or in the Victorian Desert. Looking forward to the weather warming a little so we can visit some of our favourite spots around the state. Just come back from a few weeks on Rainbow beach in Queensland and although the locals were saying how cold it was I could have stayed longer as its better than here. I am not too concerned with the nay sayers I had the same thing when I brought my 2007 RA7 Rodeo single cab. If its not from the Landcruser or Nissan stable it won't cut it off road. I set it up so we could travel where we wanted and it never let me down or got stuck. Mine you I spent more on after market accessories than I did on the vehicle as you do. As we are getting a little older we wanted some extra comfort when we travel and the Trail Hawk certainly fits the bill. All the extra electronics will take a bit to get used to, but the extra comfort won't.
Cheers Coxy

Welcome Coxy, and congrats on the Trailhawk. It's an excellent vehicle and I doubt there's a better mid-size all-rounder out there. As for the naysayers - they can stick to their vanilla Japanese brands - I like having something with some character and that's a little less common.
